About
A bit about me...
My name is David Buchanan.
I first started taking photographs back in the 80's working alongside the official Photographer for the College of Technology in Belfast.
I also spent a lot of time in the Darkroom processing film and producing my own prints.
In the mid 90's I more or less just stopped taking photographs.
For reasons unknown, I simply stopped.
In 2010 I was on a 4 day trip to Paris. On the day I was due to fly home a Volcano in
Iceland decided to erupt, causing an ash cloud that grounded all Air Traffic in Europe
and beyond.
My 4 day trip had just turned into a 12 day one.
Wandering around Paris I decided to take some photographs on my very basic, not-so-smart phone.
I was hooked again.
These things happen for a reason.
I bought my first DSLR soon after I got home, learned how to work with digital files by looking
things up on the internet and I've been shooting when I get the chance ever since.
I use this website to show some of my work but I don't update it regularly. I upload my
more recent shots to my Flickr account which you can visit by clicking on the relevant link
on my Homepage.
Thanks for taking the time to visit,
David.
